CSI: Corona
Intruder Alert!!
This morning after I left for Pictage, my partner James called me to let me know someone was trying to break into the house. I was almost to Pictage, so I had him call the police.
Unfortunately, not only was a window broken but it is supposed to rain today. Since he drives 7 other people to work I came home to clean up the aftermath and wait for a window repair guy.
Here are a few pictures of the "crime scene!"
As you can see he broke the window right at the latch so he could open the window to get in. But what about the security light RIGHT THERE! He unscrewed the bulbs!
A few of the "perp's" footprints left on the flowerpot and the hose roller.
It appears that he tried prying out the bottom window, since the moulding and pieces of caulking are on the ground under the window. It appears that he got frustrated with that because of his next move.
After realizing he wasn't going to get in the bottom half of the window, he broke the top portion with a rock and was going to unlatch the window. He must have been pretty frustrated at that point.
He didn't just break the window, as you can see the rock ended up across the entire room! The force spread glass around the entire room!
It was then that he was scared off by noises in the house!
A few minutes later the police arrived.
Normally I would have figured they were after the camera equipment. But while the police were here they got a call about someone entering a residence through a window 2 houses down. But by the time they got there he was gone!
So obviously it was just a random break in, someone looking for anything they can get their hands on. Fortunately, it wasn't anything of ours.
So here I sit, house alarm on, waiting for the glass repair company, hoping that the rain doesn't get here first.
